The Issue

10% of all contact sport athletes sustain concussions yearly.

The Science

Deformation patterns were strikingly different when comparing the two shells.
The “hot spot” is less extensive in the dimple model with a 30% reduction in strain deformation in the I.T. Raptor shell as compared to that in the standard shell.
Notice that the deformation is unsymmetrical in the shell with dimples.
